| Research Computing on Multi-core and Many-core systems, March 10th -- FREE!!! |
|
Join us Saturday, March 10th at the FSU Conference Center for a one day workshop on "Multi-core and Many-core systems". Representatives from Intel and Nvidia will present hardware roadmaps, software environments, and discuss some tips and tricks to getting the most out of their multi-core architectures. This is a statewide event and a great opportunity for you to meet with people from other universities working on similar problems. See the following links for event details and registration: Location:
Summary:This workshop will introduce researchers at Florida’s public and private universities to future computing architectures and application development environments designed to enable extreme-scale computing. The workshop will also introduce researchers to the Sunshine State Education and Research Computing Alliance (SSERCA) and will demonstrate ways in which this new organization can help to support statewide collaborations related to extreme-scale computing. Extreme-scale computing environments promise to transform the way research is conducted. By bringing researchers together from different disciplines and institutions, this workshop offers an excellent opportunity for researchers in the state of Florida to form statewide working groups to address extreme-scale computing challenges and opportunities.Workshop Goals:1. Introduce researchers to next-generation computing architectures and development environments for extreme-scale computing.2. Introduce researchers to SSERCA and ways that this new organization can help support extreme-scale research computing efforts. 3. Form statewide working groups to address extreme scale computing challenges and opportunities.
