FSU's Shared-HPC facility is now offering scientists in Japan access to compute cycles and data storage resources while they recover from recent tragic events related to the magnitude 9 earthquake and subsequent tsunamis.

Rolling blackouts have left many of our Japanese colleagues without computing and data storage resources to continue their work. Researchers in Japan affected by these events can apply for an account now on FSU's Share-HPC system by clicking the following link:

Shortly after the web-based application form is submitted, researchers will receive an email message describing how they can remotely access FSU's shared-HPC system. Once logged on to the system researcher will have access to a dedicated job submission queue for longer running jobs with up 150 processor cores, a backfill queue for short running jobs (< 4 hours) with up to 1500 processor cores, and an SMP queue for running shared memory jobs with up to 500 GB of memory.
