A team from the company 3leaf systems installed a new addition to the HPC. Follow this link to learn how to run jobs in the new queue, smp_q. The 3 leaf computer system is a hardware based SMP solution for programs that require large amounts of memory. Using virtualization technology, the system which consists of 12 compute nodes, can be partitioned as one large SMP machine with 576 GB of memory and 144 cores.
