matlab points to version 7.10.0.499 (R2010a)

matlab-new is the newest version: 7.14.0.739 64-bit(R2012a)

Matlab is in your default path on FSU login nodes. The licensing allows for Matlab to only be available on the login nodes and limited to 2 instances at any one time on each node (i.e., 2 matlab instances on coaps.hpc.fsu.edu and 2 matlab instances on submit.hpc.fsu.edu can be running at the same time). Matlab can be used to submit jobs to the cluster as a batch job (see Matlab DCE).
