GNU Fortran

g77 is available as the Fortran 77 version
gfortran is the Fortran 95 compiler that is part of GCC (the GNU Compiler Collection).

Not to be confused with g95, another Fortran 95 compiler, which is based on GCC and not installed.

Both are in the users' default path
