During two sessions of the SCS Tech Series seminar an overview of the HPC cluster and an introduction in the use of the MOAB job scheduler will be given. The sessions will be on Wednesday Oct 3 and Oct 10 in the SCS lecture room DSL 152.

• On October 3 we will give a brief introduction into the hardware and software of the system. Slides from the presentation can be downloaded in powerpoint format and pdf format.
• On October 10 we briefly discuss the MOAB job scheduler, the different types of queues one can submit his/her job to and we show some example scripts for use with openmpi, mpich v1 and mpich v2. The example files can be found on the cluster in the /panfs/storage.local/system/tutorial directory. Slides from the presentation are available in powerpoint format and pdf format.
